the church birds In Indonesian, "church birds" are what we call sparrows. Very common birds. The alliteration was too fun to pass up

chirp away in their merry tune


the sun slowly takes the place of the fading moon


as dawn creeps

the bat sleeps Our house had a bat problem for the longest time. We still have the occasional one or two perched up there. Somewhere. They like to drop fruit seeds

in its cave


the mind drifts in and out of a daydream, depraved



about this poem inspired by restless nights spent daydreaming but never falling into a slumber. once i hear the birds outside chirping i know i'm screwed
